FaceCode is a live technical interview platform built for panels. Candidates write real code in a shared IDE, the kind of environment they actually work in. Interviewers evaluate as it happens, and an AI-compiled summary is ready before the panel logs off.

A staff engineer's interview hour costs more than almost any other step in the hiring process. Yet most panels run on a mix of a shared Google Doc, disconnected video calls, and a Slack thread that starts with "what did you think?" The signal is real. The infrastructure around it isn't.
01
No shared workspace
Candidates type in one window, interviewers watch in another. When code runs wrong, the panel can't step in. Moments that should spark a conversation get lost.
02
Calibration happens too late
Interviewers compare notes after the session, from memory. By then, the signal has decayed. Panels disagree most often on candidates they interviewed with the fewest shared reference point
03
The summary takes longer than the interview
A 60-minute session produces 30 minutes of note-writing across multiple interviewers. That time comes out of engineering, the most expensive hour in the hiring process.
04
The candidate is set up to underperform
An unfamiliar tool, no practice environment, technical issues right before the panel joins. The candidate who struggles with the setup isn't necessarily the candidate who struggles with the job.
Inside FaceCode
FaceCode gives every person in the room what they need to do their job: a real code editor for the candidate, live evaluation for the panel, a shared canvas for system design, and a structured summary that writes itself. So the 60 minutes are spent on signal, not setup.
Code Editor
Candidates write real code in a collaborative IDE, the kind of environment they actually work in, not a blank text box or a shared doc. The editor auto-evaluates output as the session runs, so the panel can probe the actual implementation in real time. And when the session ends, you can rewind and step through exactly how the candidate built their solution, not just what they ended up with.
Supports 40+ programming languages out of the box
Auto-evaluation runs inline, interviewers focus on the conversation, not running code manually
Rewind and replay the full coding sequence after the session, step through their thinking, not just their output
Pull questions directly from HackerEarth's library mid-interview, no prep required before the session starts

Interview system
Conduct live interviews with up to five interviewers simultaneously, engineering managers, tech leads, and peers all in the same session without coordination between separate rounds. For senior roles, the shared diagram board lets candidates sketch architecture and think out loud while the panel evaluates their reasoning live.
Panels of up to 5 interviewers, no more fragmented round scheduling
Interviewers communicate privately via a dedicated interviewer chat the candidate cannot see
Diagram board for system design, architecture, UML, and flowchart discussions
Evaluate high-level thinking and communication alongside code quality, in the same session
AI Summaries
After each session, FaceCode compiles a structured interview report automatically, drawing on the code written, the transcript, interviewer scores, and behavioral signals like problem-solving approach and communication clarity. Your engineers don't write notes. They review them.
AI combines code performance, interviewer scores, and session transcript into one report
Behavioral signals captured, communication clarity, collaboration style, problem approach
Scores assigned in-session and stored alongside the candidate report for downstream review
Full session recordings and transcripts accessible at any point in the hiring process

Send branded, professionally formatted invites to shortlisted candidates directly from FaceCode. Before the session starts, FaceCode runs a full system check, browser, webcam, microphone, cookies, screen resolution, so technical issues surface before the panel is waiting, not during.
Branded candidate invites that reflect your company's identity
Automatic system check confirms webcam, mic, browser, and connection before the session starts
Hide candidate name, photo, and personal identifiers at any point, before or during a live session, so the panel evaluates on skill, not background
7 ATS integrations, scores and reports sync to the candidate profile automatically

05 details / index
Sessions start in Meeting mode for setup and introductions, then switch to Interview mode when evaluation begins. The transition is deliberate, not accidental.
Candidates and interviewers can share and switch between each other's screens mid-session. No separate screen-share tool required.
Real-time signal strength monitoring surfaces during the interview, so a weak connection gets flagged before it disrupts the evaluation.
Real-time alerts when candidates attempt a question, compile code, or complete the interview, so the panel is never caught off guard mid-session.
Candidates cannot join from multiple sessions simultaneously. FaceCode detects duplicate access and requires the candidate to close other sessions before continuing.
STEP 01
Schedule and invite
Create the interview, add interviewers, and send a branded invite to the candidate. FaceCode handles the scheduling, you don't.
STEP 02
Interview live
Candidate joins the shared code editor. Panel of up to 5 interviewers joins simultaneously. Pull questions from the library, run the session, use the diagram board for system design rounds.
STEP 03
Score in-session
Interviewers assign scores against the rubric during or immediately after the interview. AI compiles the summary before anyone leaves the room.
STEP 04
Decide with evidence
Review the report, replay the session, compare scores across candidates. Make the decision backed by the transcript, the code, and the rubric, not a summary written from memory.

Where FaceCode fits
FaceCode is built for any round where an interviewer and a candidate write code together, whether that's a first technical screen, a system design deep-dive, or a final panel with five engineers in the room. If the conversation matters and the code matters, FaceCode gives both the environment they deserve.
Multiple programming languages supported. Candidates can solve programming questions in 40+ languages with snippets and auto-complete in each. EEOC and OFCCP compliant — question selection, scoring rubrics, and decision-support outputs are designed for use in regulated hiring contexts. Compliance documentation available on request.
